ZTE Forms Alliance with MCorpGlobal for the Indian Market
November 24, 2006
Chinese ZTE has built strategic ties with Indian MCorpGlobal to set up a joint venture for distributing and selling ZTE's telecom equipment in India. For an initial phase of three years, the new company will import telecom infrastructure mostly produced by ZTE and provide telecom-related services. In later phases, the joint venture plans to set up a local manufacturing unit and R&D base. Switching and radio-related equipment targeting Indian and South Asian markets will be counted among the company's main R&D efforts.
